Disposition versions
16. The charges and fees under sections 11 to 15 are adjusted on 1 January of each year based on the percentage change in the general Consumer Price Index for Canada for the 12-month period ending on 30 September of the preceding year. That change is the ratio between the index for the above-mentioned period and the index for the period that precedes it. The index for a period is the average of the monthly indexes published by Statistics Canada. The charges and fees are reduced to the nearest dollar if they contain a fraction of a dollar less than $0.50; they are increased to the nearest dollar if they contain a fraction of a dollar equal to or greater than $0.50.
The Minister is to publish the results of the adjustment under this section in the Gazette officielle du Québec and, if the Minister considers it appropriate, inform the public by any other means.
